complaints department please

oh yeah, that's me.

Last weekend my toaster stopped working, for no apparent reason (although secretly i blame the ex, he was trying to use it when it stopped). So I ordered a new shiny one from work, waited all week and then it arrived Friday.
Took it home, let Sam have toast for tea... and while it works, it doesn't stay down by itself. grrr.
I also have a cold - blah!

On the good news side: I am feeling a bit better about work - hurrah! I have finished the cross stitching side for the "Happy Box".

This week, i will get a spiral notebook and start on the t-shirt deconstruction project :)

Oh and my ex started his new job this week, seems to be going well. He is also looking at flats now, so hopefully will be moving out really soon! fingers crossed!! I'm hoping to have a party in April. i might call it the "F@ off, I'm eating Meat" party.

sit down with a nice cup of tea

and don't tell anyone...

I'm beginning to dislike some of my job. mainly the work. and I am starting to feel angry towards people. there aren't many people actually there, so it wouldn't be hard to pin point them.

Customers annoy me the least, after all being one in 500 odd it's easier to dissipate the annoyance factors, and they tend to take their annoyingness away with them. I keep hoping that things will get better, but then something else  will happen to make me all angry again.

Todays thing was a letter of reference from one of my customers. You might think that this would be a good thing, only it basically said that he only deals with our company because of me.
So i can't use it at all (i would use it to promote our little company to get new customers) - not too bad a thing really, no big deal... except it came to our PO Box, which the Boss clears, and he opened it first, and read it (fair enough really) except then he passed it to my manager, and showed it to his son (purchasing guy) all BEFORE it came to me - to whom it was addressed. This irritates me, that something that effectively was mine, was 'consumed' by almost the entire staff before I get to see it! And because the letter was so undiplomatically written, i feel like I've done something wrong, and now everyone had animosity towards the writer.

I hope these work frustrations go away soon, cause my job is better than many, many others out there, and I enjoy the perks of being able to buy stuff cheap. Hopefully this post will help.

It's been too long!

sorry my lovelies, I know I've been slack about updating here. Bit busy is always the excuse, but ya know!

So, was in the cuba st carnival, which was awesome. Now I think i have a minor 'girl-crush' which is kinda cool, although like all crushes I have no idea what to do about it, so I don't do anything!

Ex-husband is still here, but it has been nice having a baby sitter, yesterday I left the house about 10:30am, and didn't get home til after 11pm. nice not to have to worry about how she is getting on etc. Also nice not to have to think about what to cook everynight, although I am starting to tire of all the vege meals, such that last night while out I choose the 300gram Big Beef Burger with Bacon! ooohhh yeah! that hit the spot!

I am finding it interesting that a lot of my friends wonder what I ever saw in him and think that he is a real jerk in general. Now, i have to admit that if it weren't for having a kid together, we would have nothing to do with each other.

Yesterday was a great day, although very tiring! First I did some work for Bob, then onto Pool playing for a friends birthday celebrations. I play about twice a year, once on his birthday and once on mine, although him and one of his mates have invited me to play billiards with them on Sundays at a reasonably local RSA. Then we went out for tea, and then went along to another Birthday celebration for 7 lovely ladies. I had been up til midnight finishing their pressies - cross stitched earings. Genius idea I thought, and I got to see a pair on and thought they turned out good too! Have to admit, i was so tired I said a couple of stupid things, nothing too embarrasing, but you know. Then when the party turned from being a private event to a public one, I scarpered. Just couldn't handle the impending throng of people in such an enclosed space, bit rude not to say goodbye, but i think everyone was having a grand enough time.
So then I played chauffeur.

disappointing really - havn't done anything remotely dodgy for weeks! sorry, dont mean to let the side down... well, not on purpose anyway.
