Girls, Girls, Girls!

another post? you ask, so soon??!! wow!!

This morning I was contemplating how I enjoy both the modern world and it's conveniences with the traditional/old fashioned ideas etc. As I laze (present) in bed on a Saturday morning reading my news - Stuff.co.nz, the modern newspaper that is possibly just as environmentally friendly as an actual paper- with my laptop and wireless cable internet and hard cover novel laying next to me.
Today in International Women's Day. i think every day is Woman's day, but really every day is all about me, me, me, me.

Talking about equality etc, and how woman's biggest problem these days is the lack of pay equality and domestic violence. i could do with some more money sure - although i do get a nice (what I call) tax break from the IRD, due to working with a kid. they call it 'working for families', I call it 'surviving'.
Domestic violence is something my mother had to deal with, i was young and don't remember seeing it. Her leaving dad/kicking him out, showed me women can be strong and make decisions for themselves for the good of the family. I am not currently aware of anyone I know in a domestic violence situation, although i do understand that every situation is different and what works for one doesn't necessarily work for all.

anyway, back to me: tomorrow I have a birthday 'Pool playing' type event to go to, where there will be numerous blokes - most of whom will be my age+, intelligent, employed and non-single. despite that last characterisation, I want to look hot but casual, a tricky blend to capture... jeans i think are a must, and adding heels increases the hotness, but is it practical and casual enough for Pool??? and then what top??? leaning across a pool table, don't want too low a top - or do I?

these are the trials of my life at the moment - I'd never make emo status!
